School and Group Membership
Bits and Bobs is an important local educational resource for schools, nurseries and organisations working with children, providing reusable materials for art craft and creative play.
Bits and Bobs exists to promote the ethos of Reduce, Reuse & Recycle- stopping unwanted materials being sent to landfill and allowing them to be reused at very little cost.
We encourage schools, particularly ones who are working towards an eco-schools award, to visit and see for themselves what kind of materials would otherwise be going into a hole in the ground.

Bits and Bobs can assist in delivering various aspects of the curriculum:

Art and Design: the strands of using visual elements and creating and designing can be enhanced by the variety of materials and media available at the store which you can not find in other art and craft shops or mail-order catalogues.

Drama: the cheap, and unusual resources, in store can either act as props and costumes or easily be turned into them. In fact we have many theatre companies who are members who use our resources for stage design, props and costumes, including the award winning children's company Wee Storiesn and The Royal Lyceum Theatre.

Environmental Studies: Bits and Bobs actively prevents materials being sent to landfill sites and promotes the beliefs of reducing, re-using and recycling. These environmental aspects cover many outcomes of the social subjects as well as science.
