What materials are in the IDEAL ARTBOX?

Each box (well actually it’s a hessian sack which you can keep for your sports day!) will usually contain a selection of the following:

• Large pieces of fabric and fabric scraps
• Card
• Gift Boxes
• Sticky Back plastic
• Wool
• Cork
• Thread, Buttons and Beads,
• Tartan
• Scribble paper
• Coloured cellophane
• Wallpaper samples
• CDs
• Badges
• Flowers
• Wax
• Netting
• Coloured foam.

We include activity sheets on how to use the materials and every IDEAL ARTBOX will contain some new ideas.

The 4 boxes will be slightly different and tailored to season.

Project boxes are available on request for, e.g. futuristic/vintage themes and we will supply activity sheets with ideas relevant to the theme.

You can request specific items in advance by email.If you build up an excess of items you can come to the shop and do a swap for other items.We will try to meet your request as far as possible depending on our supplies.

New Art Materials

In addition to your IDEAL ARTBOX a selection low cost new materials can also be purchased and delivered with your order.

We want to work with your school to create the IDEAL ARTBOX for your needs.

How does the IDEAL ARTBOX scheme work?

When you join our Annual IDEAL ARTBOX scheme we will deliver 4 boxes per year at the optimum time for commencing preparation of your craftwork activities for Easter, Summer, Autumn and Christmas.

Your first box will be delivered in August/September 2009.

You can email content changes and any additional new materials to your IDEAL ARTBOX up until two weeks before your delivery date.Alternatively, you can agree on specific additional items that you want included within each box.

Single boxes/themed boxes can be ordered at any time. ……It’s entirely up to you.

How much does it cost? How do I pay?

Each IDEAL ARTBOX box costs £35 (and will include items which would be priced at £45 at store if purchased individually). Delivery is free.

Any new materials ordered will be added to your IDEAL ARTBOX invoice.

As part of our annual IDEAL ARTBOX scheme you will also receive free membership to the store (usually £30 per annum) and your teachers can purchase additional items at any time.These goods can be added to your next invoice or paid for at the time of purchase.

Ordering a single box does not carry membership to the store.

Boxes will be invoiced separately and you can pay through the Edinburgh Council Oracle purchasing system.

How do I join the scheme?

Complete the application form with your request to join the Annual IDEAL ARTBOX scheme or to order a single box. Post the application form back to us.

We will acknowledge your application by email and advise when you can expect your first delivery.
